Strategy Development - Community Input Questionnaire

The American Muslim Alliance (AMA) seeks to democratize the overall decision-making process by creating a bottom-up agenda-setting mechanism, which is why we are asking every interested Muslim American to provide written input and feedback through this questionnaire. Your cooperation in providing concrete feedback is greatly appreciated.

1. This year the AMA has identified four main objectives for the Presidential election:

1) Become full partners in the defense, development and prosperity of our homeland, the United States

2) Defend the civil and human rights of all

3) Mainstream the American Muslim community

4) Develop alliances with like-minded fellow Americans on a wide variety of social, political, economic and moral issues.

2. This year the AMA has identified ‘A Civil Rights Plus Agenda’ pertaining to the Presidential Election. This agenda consists of

1) Civil and human rights for all

2) Domestic issues of public good and general welfare (e.g. education, homelessness, economic recovery, environmental and ecological safety, electoral reform, and crime prevention)

3) Global peace with justice, prevention of war, and US relations with the Muslim world
